An old red memo book

It was yesterday, I rummaged through my room, and somewhere on the corner of the room, I found a small memo book.

An old, red, almost torned memo book...

Well, I can't believe it was still there, and it miraculously survived despite my other stuff had been missing into nowhere.

This old red memo book was a recollection of what my friends had written when I was in form 5. I can still remember their weird look as I handed in my memo book and wrote what they felt about me in these years of them knowing me. Well...

Reading back the memo book made me felt...funny instead of being nostalgic =.^

Most of my friends, wondered, how am I going to blend in the society with a non-social attitude, and some even thought that what scientist I might turned out to be, especially with the explosive hair of mine. = = . And...they all wondered......

How am I getting married in future??

Well, even after these two years, this question was harder than the General and Dpecific theory of relativity, cuz right now, I'm still single...

I still lose my stuffs frequently, just as you guys predicted...

But well, I had to say I changed in many ways, though I couldn't point it out (except that I'm getting taller and much fatter), in this two years.

Well, thanks for the book, I had a great chat with my past-self, and, definitely, it made me seeming ordinary afternoon much better.

I think I should ask some of my INTEC friends to write in the memo before going US. So that, two years later, somewhere in Minnesota, I would laugh, as I was reminded how I lost my handphone.

But now, I had to think of passport, Visa, 100 buck for graduation dinner, university housing, and my public speaking...... + . +

Btw, I should congratulate another two couples in INTEC, well, congratz to Yon Chiet and Li Xuan. You two are a perfect couple, and Kia Tzun, YOU FINALLY MADE YOUR MOVE......= =I'm not updated cuz I had been lack in gossiping and socializing this few days...Congratz, both of you...(I'm the last one to know the gossips......again)

18 Years passed...

21st May 2009 - Morning

I woke up, only to find my hand-phone had somehow lost, I vaguely remembered I placed it on Samuel's room. However, the answer was a complete negative, Samuel , Boon Hui, and Michael never see any hand phone in their room, and Samuel even asked me whether had I brought my hand phone to his room yesterday.

I asked others about my lost Nokia, but nobody seemed to give me a positive response. The only thing their do was just a big HUH and perhaps asking me how many hand phones had I lost, and perhaps started recounting how many hand phones had I lost. While those people were caught in a conversation of how I lost my hand phone, I left, with a big sigh...shooking head as I thought - is this how you console a person when he lost his stuff?

Well, I guess my case was special. *shrug*

21st May 2009 - Afternoon

The phone was nowhere to be found, at the same time, I recalled how my mom told me to spend thriftly, and the only thing I could tell her is - Mum, I 've lost my phone again, and I could imagine what would happen next, and also how those friends gave a big shook as you asked for their contact number. For the first few time, I was completely despaired that I had no mood to study for my upcoming sociology test...

It's happening again! Why? Why the day before my birthday, which I planned to spend it quietly by treating a secret recipe to myself tomorrow...

Yet how despaired I am, I told myself to study the last few bits of sociology, and keep telling myself that everything will be OK.

21st May 2009 - Evening

During my socio test, I was thinking to finish my test as soon as possible so that I could run a thorough search in my room, and even asked KFC about the lost hand phone. Frankly, I had thought of possibilities that my phone might be stolen because of prank. However, seeing Samuel and Boon Hui reaction, and also how Ben miss-called my phone to see whether it was there available actually made me dismissed my thinking.

They couldn't have gained access through my handphone, as I stuck in Samuel's room 95% of the time, and the only few persons that might gained access to my handphone was Sam, Boon Hui and Mike, and I'm sure that they are not part of the prank-ing party or whatsoever.

"Instead of hoping it as a prank, you better face the fact- you leave ur phone somewhere." I told myself as I roamed to KFC to find my hand phone when I stumbled on Wei Young, and he was kind enough to accompany me to KFC, and tell me that everything will be ok. KFC gave a negative result.

I told him everything will be ok, and sighed all my way to Cemara, not before thanking wei young for actually taking the trouble to accompany me.

21st May 2009 - Night

I was already in a state of almost despair when I log-in MSN, and nope, none of my friends were online. However, I was slightly cheered up when I received a happy birthday greeting from Pui Yin, the * stupid teenage girl * that Kia Tzun referred to. It was quite a pleasure chatting with her, the never pessimistic gal, when Kian Hui asked me for a basketball game.

He told me that he had bought a new ball and asked me to play. I had actually thought that it might be a celebration for me, but at the same time, I know that most people were going for a swim today. I vaguely agreed to him, and silently thanked him for trying to cheer me up. Wei young were already playing basketball when I reached the court when I noticed something was amiss... the ball looked quite old, and for a moment, I felt that the tip of my shirt was wet.

And before I could think anything, my instinct told me to run as soon as possible, *despite that my leg was bare-footed * , and the next moment, I was escorted by Zi Jian and Wai Kuan, and I knew what would happen next...water splashing, and chilies on cake...flour...

Well, in the end, all well ends well...... I get my hand phone back, *which was indeed a result of prank* . and for the first time in my life, my birthday wish actually became true, which is......

* Just give back my hand phone, please * and that's it, my wish went true...

23 May 2009 - morning at 4

This is a birthday that I'll remember, not only because it was my last birthday before flying in US, and also the fact that I was totally in a state of desparado at the day before. The sentiments I felt from morning till now, I can still feel it.

Thanks for the celebration, I hope you guys are having fun.

Thanks for the books, I think I really enjoyed it.

And because of this birthday, I was enlightened by one advice which I had long neglected. I might be thinking too much, but well... Happy 19, JK

For my own sake, I will make up my mind.

TRIP to Port Son Of Penis a.k.a Dick-son )

My class had been planning for a class trip to this Port Son of Penis since last semester, however, it seemed that their plan seemed progress into nowhere because all of them had been BUSY (not wit coursework, OF CUZ), but busy of Sunway, MidValley, Karaoke, Ipoh Trip, melaka Trip and other things that sucked ur money like a vaccum machine......(and i contributed some portion on it, I believe X.X )

And when things were going to die down, I was suddenly told that the trip is going to be held at Thursday, that leaves me two days to prepare...

Assesing my ATM card, and after seeing my pitiful account balance, and memories of my mother nagging seemed to revive...

" SEI Pai Kia, didn't I TELL YOU USE UR MONEY THRIFLY" and for the next 45 minutes, I would have received a complete lecture how bad Malaysia economy nowadays X.X ...

I actually told my florida mama (a.k.a hui chin) that I'm quitting from the trip, only to receive a reply from her ("Why not going"). And all of sudden, there's a 100ton hammer landed on me, asking myself why am I not going?

So, I forced out a few $ from the almost broken account, and assured my mom that I am not going to do nothing but staying in hostel this week, and that's it...I'm going.

Day 1 - = =Could I quit from Truth and Dare next time = =
Our day 1 trip, I looked glommy for no reason( tried to act cool but failed), partly becuz I know sth will happen soon

* There is no justice in this class. * This is actually a very famous sentence in our class, and this dreadful sentence will always appear at the most unexpected times...

Guess What!!! I don't want to play any TRUE or DARE anymore X.X, especially the DARE part, becuz you'll never know what you'll get from messing with the Floridans......

On the first day, we played a QANT game (qamari version of truth or Dare), when the winner will ask the loser to choose truth or dare. And when you think this is just a simple game...think again......

Some of us was asked to pretend as an agent of Playboy company, and then called a girl, just to tell her that her Playboy subscription had ended... worst, Uma was asked to declare a "I love U" statment to Govind...without telling him that it was actually a game of Truth and Dare...

* but well, Govind already knew it was a truth or dare game the moment Uma called him, and the whole class yelled disappointed as Uma sighed in a breath of relief *

Well, I won the game, so I get no penalty until...I heard someone say ....

" You have to **** JK"

WTF, why the winner had to been involved in the penalty, I protested, but the reply i get is

*THERE IS NO JUSTICE IN FLORIDA*!!

And the next minute, sth happened......sob...sob...I don't even want to mention, try to figure out sth from this picture if you're curious.

It was not a story to pass on X.X

Day 2 - OMG I'll never know you're that popular...

The day I met you was on Jackson, on Spring semester last year. I just know that you looked so freaked out in CS, yet insisted to play, and almost spoilt my laptop in the process...

You are always accompanied with gossips, and always enjoyed being called bitch, definitely the most frank and funkiest girl I had seen. You spiced out every place you passed through, causing tsunami when you screamed, causing glass brokewhenever you laughed...and...despite.... the fact you are heavier than Beng San!!!! (and lighter than me), it's nice to know you ....wakkakaka

I'm talking abt you la...Tham Pui Yin a.k.a "Ha Xim Mao Mao" or Stupid teenage girl

I don't really know why I somehow got one leg with you according to ACTP gossip association, but until that day, I never knew that you're so highly demanded

And a notification, this girl is single but not available, according to my theory, she was expecting some guy like Lewis Hamilton...and Malaysian are too kolot for her =p. So far, she had stuffed all her applicants into pending list and never seemed to bother to check on it. *NOPE, I never apply*

And when she's gonna flew to US, I just wondered...will she get bored by those bookworms in UiUC...

For a newcomer of this class, I definitely enjoyed this class!!! FLORIDA ROCKS

Just some random ramble

* BTN passed faster than I thought,* *head shooking*

Stories in Life

Without awaring how time passed by, Summer seemed to approached...Everything seemed to happen to fast...everything changed...from a student in Malaysia to a future graduate in US, from a hot-headed kid to a cold heart and minded person, from mature to immature or vice versa, and sometimes from an unsocial person to actively sociable person and etc...

Quoted from a book : "If you compile a person's lifestory in a book, no matter how boring the person might be, it can be summed out to be a good read".And my 18 years life as a teenager, I wondered what type of book will it be if it's actually complied to a book? Taking a few twists in life, facing a few things that others didn't, to sum up, life was not really a bed of roses, but however, this is the beauty of life. It was through unhappiness we cherished happiness, from enemies we appreciated friends, and etc, it was because of shackles that we seeked freedom.

And for the obstacles in the past, I had to say that I HATE all of you, but at the same time I know those obstacles integrated with part of me, and without any of them, I would not be who I am now...

My story will never be a fairy tale, but I can guarantee that it will be a good read.

* And if you guys really wondered whether I really undergo much obstacles in life, I must say, I am lucky compared to some other people, but I believed that I had undergo things that most of you might not have experienced * (Self -obsessive complexion, duh)

Minnesota Twin Cities

For your information, this is the uni that I will be studying in US.

Although this university is trashed, feared, less-preferred by most of my friends, but I guess that I will be settling in this university, like it or not *because it is just my last choice* . And the reasons this university is less-preferred because...it's a Malaysia village, and the ranking is not really good compared to his counterpart university -UiUC, wisconsin, University of Texas, Purdue, Pennsylvania state and etc... (for my susah cari uni major = mech. engineering)

Actually, I am close to jealous and scared when I knew most of my engineering friends were admitted either in purdue, wisconsin and UiUC. Those universities were the unis that either banned me from entering their uni, or kicked me because my toefl score is 1 MARKS lower...and I know that I am going to study in an inferior university, and while the rest might happy for their wisconsin or UiUC, I had to be satisfied with my minnesota Twin Cities.

True is, I am jealous with them, at the same time also knowing that I will be studying alone...

Until one afternoon, I get enlightened ^.^

I realized that whatever uni I get into, it's not going to be a factor for me not to success, and instead of lamenting for my uni, I should be focusing how to carve up a path of success for my major. I will disprove that Minnesota shucks, disprove that Unis itself is really that important, I am the key to determine my success, not those unis that had chose to reject me.

And guess what? I prevailed despite studying in schools that is not well known - or even bad reputations. And why does this uni make a difference?

So what if the ranking shucks? As long as I 'll get some decent job experience once I came out.

So what if It's a malaysia village? I think there are much more Americans there compared to Malaysian =p

So what if nobody's following me to there? I believed that I am indepedent enough not to actually died without friends, and well, it also gave me a reason to have a fresh start.

Minnesota is a big campus, a city, a research uni with decent equipment, and though the lecturers might sucked, I believed that it's not going to make a difference.

Minnesota, I'm coiming!

Path

I believed that I had been troubled with it for quite a some time, hope and disappointment always arise, happiness or sad always ensues.

I think I had reached a path when false hope and bitter disappointment waiting in front should I want to continue.

I had walked too far, to the point I started to lost

I had injured quite a few, though I learn from those

I had been promised in a "what if" bubble for too long, a flower in the mirror, a moon in a river

So, 5 hours before summer started

I guess it's time for me to stop walking this path,

And perhaps take a break.
